Introducing Dr. Adrian Robichaud,
Oshawa Chiropractor

My first experience with chiropractic was when I was six years old. I can remember my father being unable to play with us because his back was in agony. I can also remember how much better he was after only a few sessions of chiropractic care. This memory played a major role in inspiring me to become a chiropractor so that I too could make such a big difference in the lives of my patients and their families.

It is important to me that people who come to see me feel they have a choice in what is best for them and who it is helping them. For this reason I spend a lot of time educating my patients and is one of the reasons for providing this site to them.

For those of you who prefer to communicate in french, I am fluent in French and English so you can communicate with me in whichever language is more comfortable for you.

I enjoy teaching karate regularly at my club, Durham Shorin Ryu Karate.  The eighteen years of training in martial arts has enhanced my understanding of the human body and how to speed healing.

Dr. Adrian Asks some important questions of interest to Oshawa residents - Chiropractor Oshawa Dr. Adrian Asks...

Why does chiropractic work?
Chiropractic works because your nervous system, consisting of your brain, spinal cord and all the nerves of your body, controls and regulates every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. A chiropractor locates and reduces areas of nervous system compromise (usually along the spine) so your capacity to heal is restored. Chiropractic works by helping your body work as it was designed.
What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
